Over 400,000 women in Sub-Saharan Africa die yearly from breast and cervical cancer, the two most common cancers in these women, because of lack of access to screening and diagnosis services, absence of required diagnostic equipment, and a great scarcity of qualified Medical Specialists. To solve this problem, we have developed a series of proprietary technologies comprising a telemedicine platform, a smartphone digital microscopy system, a smart speculum, and a simple biopsy device, to remotely screen and diagnose these cancers with real time pathology confirmation at the point of care even for women who live in the most remote and enclave areas, and early-stage cancerous lesions are further treated onsite through a mobile treatment unit.
