PENSA is a digital health platform that helps everyone lead healthier lives via delivery of health information and services equitably, particularly to the underserved living in rural remote areas and with few resources. PENSA is free, can be accessed without needing Internet or airtime, is easy to use & understand, available on all Mobile Network Operators, and accessible even on low-tech phones. Although we focus primarily on USSD (Unstructured Supplementary Service Data), our platform is multi-channel and bi-directional—allowing us to collect data from users via surveys for Ministry of Health decision-making. With over 55 million consultations from 4 million users, we are the largest digital health platform in Mozambique.
