AquaFarms Africa

Aquaponics Social Franchising

70% of food on the African continent is imported and 72% of young people are unemployed meaning two things: we don’t own our food, and our economic growth is stalled. AquaFarms Africa’s mission is to address the problems of food sovereignty across Africa by making urban agriculture broadly accessible through our unique social franchising model, unlocking the wealth opportunity in the food space for young entrepreneurs. Our low-cost, locally-made, 12m x 12m aquaponics systems, use renewable energy for climate-controlled farming in proximity to our customers, facilitating year-round harvesting of fresh, niche produce atypical to tropical climates, enticing importers to purchase locally, repatriating funds back to the local economy.
