eLearning has transformed the way we learn. But 50% of the world’s population, or 66% of the school-age children are without the Internet. This is resulting in a lack of equitable opportunities, preventing them from competing in the modern economy, and costing their futures. Even in the US, it is perpetuating inequalities that are already dividing communities. The situation is particularly troubling for people of color, who are 40% more likely to have limited Internet. eLearning should not be a privilege.
